VALUE OF WORK DONE, CHAIN VOLUME MEASURES
TOTAL
- The trend estimate for the value of total engineering construction work done fell 0.9% in the March 2014 quarter.
- The seasonally adjusted estimate for the value of total engineering construction work done fell 2.0% in the March quarter to $31,572.5m.
PRIVATE SECTOR
- The trend estimate for the value of work done for the private sector fell 0.4% in the March quarter.
- The seasonally adjusted estimate for the value of work done for the private sector fell 1.6% in the March quarter to $24,452.6m.
PUBLIC SECTOR
- The trend estimate for the value of work done for the public sector fell 2.3% in the March quarter.
- The seasonally adjusted estimate for the value of work done for the public sector fell 3.2% in the March quarter to $7,119.9m.
VALUE OF WORK COMMENCED, CURRENT PRICES
- The value of work commenced in the March quarter was $22,313.0m in original terms, an increase of 34.4% from the December quarter.
